After switching channels after channels with the remote control, which is connected to the television. I stumbled across World News on Channel News Asia[CNA], which is one of my favourite channel.
The most news I was glued to till now, is the Good Riddance Day which occured last year at United States, Times Square Building. To ends the misery of 2007. People came to shred away all bad memories, bad stuffs or things that must be varnished away from their life for the following year onwards.
I think this is a very good idea to dump all their stuffs away by shredding it. To me by shredding or dumping those bad fears, memories or work-loads, helps me to clear some of those thoughts away. Even writing a diary is of no use.

Actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his 4th floor apartment on January 22nd 2008. According to the police, his housekeeper had arrived in the afternoon to do household chores, entered his bedroom to change the lightbulb in an adjacent bathroom, and found Ledger face down on the bed, sheets over his shoulders and snoring. His masseuse came later that day but he did not emerge from the room even after giving his a number of missed calls. Concerned, she called a friend of Ledger, and later called 911. Medical officers arrived at the scene and tried to resuscitate him via defibrillator and CPR but to no avail. Heath Ledger was pronounced dead at 3.36pm.
Its is so unfortunate to have such a talented actor was snuffed our at the prime of his life.
Recently, I’ve seen his portrayal as The Joker in the Batman: The Dark Knight trailer and I tell you, he brought the character to another level, way better than Jack Nickelson. And most likely his death would affect the publicity of the movie.
Alright lets get the ball rolling. Last night, my girlfriend and I watched Cloverfield and I must say, I had mixed feelings about the movie.
I can sum it up in 2 words actually… Blair Witch
Yes, this movie is shot in 1st person view, exactly like “The Blair Witch Project” with lots of shaky camera shots. The movie puts the audience into the eyes of the camera man through out the entire movie and you may at times feel like you are actually there. And there are moments which I call, “Oh shit” moments where something happens and all you can say is well… You get my point.
Story wise, I find it difficult to say so much without spoiling the movie. It starts out slow, the main characters were having a farewell party which is then cut short by mysterious and terrifying chain of events. (If the head of the Statue of Liberty hurled at you isn’t terrifying enough, I don’t know what is)
Good points are that, the way it is filmed, it looked real! And the sense of mystery is everywhere and you’re left thinking “Whats going on?” and “What’s gonna happen next?”
Bad points is that, the entire film is shot through the eyes of the camera man and this may give some people headaches and nausea. Also, this kind of storytelling technique is not for everyone because you don’t know whats going on and may be left thinking “What the hell is going on?”
All in all, Unfortunately this movie’s strength is it’s weakness.
I give this movie 2 1/2 out of 5 Statue of Liberty heads.

The video that i upload was a flashback on what i had went through in Primary 5. My math teacher lost her patience teaching me or perhaps repeating over and over again. She blew her top in front of the class.
Boy! I was embarrassed and i did not attend her lesson after that humilating incident. That was the begining of my truancy.
Although the video had got nothing to do with Math, i disagree on the method the teacher used to reprimand her student.
Let’s get the facts rolled. The boy is in RJC and he did his assignment ‘unwillingly’. He was supposed to do newspaper articles on current affairs but he did essays instead.
I, as a student beg to differ. Why couldn’t the teacher find other alternatives to send her message across? Maybe showing the student how articles were written? Giving examples of what she meant by ‘current affairs’ ? Or instead, lighten up a little bit, give a taste of sacarsm? Maybe, informing the student what her expectations were?
Yes, what I had suggested may sound spoon feeding. Yes, for a RJC student, such stupidity shouldn’t be tolerated. However, tearing the essays in front of the class isn’t it too much?
The student, on the other hand should clear his doubt before hand. Handing up essays instead of articles? Gosh, which part of the word ‘articles’ he do not understand. Hahaha. Okay, okay. On a serious note, maybe this incident could be a wake-up call for him.
Well, looking at the brighter side, if all the teacher in Singapore are not courageous enough to speak out, i bet all Singaporeans will fail. Some called it tough love. Some students need it.
